Academy Philosophy
Our Academy Philosophy is to give goalkeepers a professional
environment where they can have fun and become better every
day. The focus is on developing proper technique at a young
age when the goalkeepers are most impressionable.
Academy Head Coach,
Scott Vallow
Scott is an 10-year professional of MLS and The USL 1st
Division and is currently the starting goalkeeper and team
captain of the Rochester Rhinos. He helped the Rhinos
win two A-League Championships in 2000 and 2001, and was
named the A-League Goalkeeper of the Year in 2000,
all-league selection in 2000 and 2006 and Rhinos Team MVP in
2006. Scott holds the Rhinos franchise record for
goalkeeper wins in a career, with 65 and shutouts in a
career with 62. This is the third year of the "Train
Like a Champion" GK Academy.
